Fall Programs

for Young Adults

@ the J. V. Fletcher Library

[ BACK TO YA SERVICES ]

Join the J. V. Fletcher Library’s Young Adult Advisory Board (YAAB) TODAY!

We are looking for local Young Adults/Teens from grades 6-12  to join our Young Adult Board and meet monthly at the library to discuss programming ideas that will appeal to this age group, recommendations of print and non-print materials of interest to young adults in our community, and input regarding ways to entice the reluctant reader to visit the library.

If you are interested, then please feel free to attend one of our meetings on Saturdays, September 15, October 13, November 10, and December 8 @ 3PM. Teens do not need prior experience to be a Young Adult Advisory Board Member. The most important thing is ENTHUSIASM! Refreshments will be served.

Teen Read Week: LOL @ the Library:

October 15 to 30.

Choose from a Young Adult collection of laugh out loud (LOL) books to celebrate Teen Read Week.  Tweens and Teens in Grades 6 – 12 come down to the YA department to make a guess on the candy filled jar.  The person with the closest guess walks away with the candy.
